Mental Health, Family Functioning and Prostitution Attitude of Offenders Enrolled in the John School Diversion Program

Abstract
Objectives: The purpose of this study is to examine the correlation with mental health, family functioning and prostitution attitude of offenders enrolled in the John School Diversion Program.

Methods: A survey was conducted in 120 men who were enrolled in the John School Diversion Program. Data were collected from January, 2010 to April, 2010 and analyzed using descriptive, correlation statistical method.

Results: Subjects were mostly composed married, middle aged, high educated men. There were significantly different prostitution attitude according to age and marital status. There were negative correlation with mental health, prostitution attitude and family functioning.

Conclusions: From these results, it can be concluded that preventive education on prostitution is necessary for middle aged men than adolescent.
